  • We have been created and prepared ahead to do good works. Therefore, our whole lives should be devoted unto good works (Rom 12:1-3, Col 3:17).
  • We have been commissioned to preach the good news to all nations, heal the sick, deliver oppressed, cast out demons etc. Good works would push us even further to pray and nurture the new believers unto maturity so they can stand firm and do same to others (Ephesians 4:13-15).
  • Good works is not limited to what we do in the church, it also encapsulates what we do in the secular world. Eph 2:10.
  • Making Jesus known through good works means full alignment to the commandment/will of God. John 14:15, Gal 2:20.

  • We can make Jesus known through simple things such as a kind word, an encouraging text/ e-mail, Face time, paying for /preparing a meal for someone, transportation assistance, or merely a listening ear.
  • By showing acts of Kindness, love, empathy and forgiveness, we can make Jesus known to people (Luke 7:36–50).
  • We are saved by Grace and not by our works; good works are tangible evidence to the world that in deed Jesus is good. Our works are supposed to be product of salvation and not its justification. (Psalm 34:8. Ephesians 2:8)

  • Let us emulate Christ. He was not overly critical of people, rather He acted out kindness and love. Acts of Kindness, Love and compassion are magnetic and will lead us to repentance.
  • Fill your heart with God’s love, keep His light burning in your heart always by reading and meditating on His word as this would reflect in your attitude and utterances (Rom 5:8, Luke 6:45)
